try being vegetarian

Maybe you already are, of course. But assuming that you are not, then try it. Experiment: try not eating animal flesh for some months. You will be surprised. You will feel healthier, lighter. You will have less anger. You will have less tension in your body. You will feel more relaxed.


When we eat the flesh of an animal, we are also consuming the emotional energy that was in that animal at the moment they died. And of course, the animals which we eat have not died a natural death. They have been killed. When an animal is slaughtered, of course, it is in a state of fear and anger. It is natural. It is trying to survive. And all of this emotional energy is left, after death, in the flesh. And when we eat that flesh, we too become more angry and more fearful.


And of course, vegetarian food is generally more healthy. So there are various benefits to being vegetarian.


You may be concerned as to whether you are receiving enough protein. It is easy to eat enough protein with a vegetarian diet. The beans and pulses and nuts all contain plenty of protein. And if you eat dairy food, that's also rich in protein. You may also choose to continue to eat eggs, which are very rich in protein. So protein is not a problem with the vegetarian diet.


You may also have concerns about other elements which are essential to our being, like iron and calcium. There's plenty of iron in green leafy vegetables, amongst other sources, so that's not a problem. Our calcium intake, too, can easily be satisfied with a vegetarian diet. And if you have any worries about that, you can continue to consume dairy products, which are very rich in calcium.


And your body has an inner wisdom. It knows what it needs. So become sensitive to what your body is really asking for in the way of food. And you will see, you will not have any health troubles arising from being vegetarian. Try it.


It will help on your spiritual journey in ways that you cannot know. The way you relate to animals, energetically, will change. The gap – the separation, the feeling of being different to the animals, somehow superior – cannot really disappear whilst we are eating them. It helps in strange ways like these.


So try it. Try being vegetarian.
