snow capped mountains
The storm has passed, the skies have cleared, and the vast mountain range is once more visible, standing out against the blue sky. And what has fallen as rain lower down, has fallen as snow on the mountain tops, and the whole range is now snow capped.
Looking up at these mountains, I feel moved. With their covering of snow, they look so pristine, virginal. And at the same time, their scale, and their masculine rockiness, brings such a feeling of solidity. And this is a beautiful combination. There is something feminine about that pristine white covering, and it complements beautifully the dark greys and blacks of the rock – that masculine aspect of the mountains.
And so, sitting here today, gazing at these snow capped mountains, I am reminded of the balance, the balance between the feminine and the masculine, between yin and yang, and how important this is, within each one of us, if we are to feel balanced, if we are to feel at ease within ourself, if we are to feel whole.
